Recorded, mixed, and produced at both sides of the country, Gunnar Applebaum and Humphrey Hamma work both together and separately to create Hidden Chapel’s 2nd full length album. For almost a year and a half, they set aside their classic rock/metal tone and surround themselves with organs, bells, and synthesizers to give a more odd, experimental sound. These 10 eerie melodies move through hints of psychedelic rock, to 50’s style beats, to your average funeral music. Let strange music fill the room, these are Fiendish Motifs.

We are Humphrey Hamma and Gunnar Applebaum. We are an instrumental experimental rock and metal duo although it's very hard to put an exact genre to our music. Even without vocals, our songs bring images to the mind of the listener. We are influenced by bands such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Moon Debris, Warlord, and Pagan Altar, but the only way to fully understand our music is to listen!
